Lake Superior, Michigan

All along the Upper Peninsula this astonishing body of water laps a continuous 1700 mile shoreline. Holding one-tenth of the world's fresh water, the immense lake has a bottom littered with shipwrecks. One of its most charming aspects is its rocky beach pitted with shallow depressions filled with water that reflect both the lake and the sky.
