DeGray Lake SP, Arkansas

An early morning sun spreads a golden sheet over this pretty lake lying close to Hot Springs on the Ouachita River. In addition to being some of the youthful Bill Clinton playgrounds, the thermal waters of this region were sought out by Native Americans who recognized their curative powers. The beach of the lake is covered with unusual multi-colored strips of shale.
